NO PRACTICE ON FRIDAY, APRIL 25th
Travel Provided By: Parent/Guardian Rower drop off & pick up location: Drop off/pick up loop (see map below) then look for our boats. Drop off: Due to race schedules, drop off times are as follows: Girls: 6:00 am Boys: 7:30 am Pick up time: Athletes will be dismissed by coaches when all boats and equipment are put away, based on race schedules throughout the day. Hospitality: Hospitality will be provided. Athletes should eat before they arrive. Grab and Go breakfast beginning at 7:30 am Breakfast beginning at 8:00 am (fruit & yogurt parfaits) Lunch 11:00-2:30 (subs & tortellini soup) The hospitality tent will close at 2:30 pm Families are welcome to enjoy the food with a donation! Athletes should bring water bottles. Race Apparel: All athletes must wear unisuits. Please consider bringing a tech shirt for the cooler morning. Bring layers and sunscreen and prepare for rain. ATHLETES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE THEMSELVES TO AWAY REGATTAS! |

CAR PARKING: Off-site parking is available at the Saratoga Casino, which is free. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes from 6 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a $5 fee (cash only) for riding the shuttle. This link will take you from the regatta site to parking at the Casino. The address for parking at the Casino is 21 Nelson Ave, Saratoga Springs NY 12866.

THE COURSE: The course is a TEN (10) fully buoyed lane course. Lane 9 thru Lane 0. There are white buoys every 20 meters. There are yellow buoys every 100 meters. There are green buoys every 250 meters. Every 500 meters, there are big BEMA buoys on the outside of the course. The Last 250 meters is all red buoys, every 10 meters. At the end of the Finish Line (just past it) there are big BEMA buoys separating every lane. These will enable the coxswain to see the Finish Line from a distance. Please make sure the boats race until it is entirely past these buoys. The Course runs Lane 0-9. Lanes 0 and 1 is on the side closest to the Regatta - Launch Area. Lane 9 is the furthest from the launch docks. All Lanes are fully buoyed. Whenever possible, we will NOT use Lane zero (0).
