Chris joined the Pittsford Crew Board in 2006 after serving as Webmaster and an active volunteer with the club. He has volunteered with hospitality, anouncing, and timing at regattas, among other jobs. Chris is married to Betsy and is the parent of two rowers, Sam and Maddie. He is employed with Dell Marketing as a Consulting Project Manager in their Professional Services organization. He works primarily in the Higher Education and Health Care markets. Alan is an Ophthalmic Surgeon and has been a partner at Reed Eye Associates for 20 years. Parent of David, a member of the Varsity Boys team, and Sarah, Alan is new to the Pittsford Crew board. He became interested and involved through David and now coordinates marshals and other volunteers for the Pittsford Regatta and Pull the Plug Regatta. He currently serves on the Health and Safety and Facilities and Equipment Committees. Outside of Pittsford Crew, Alan has been very involved in the annual ADA “Tour de Cure” bike ride for the past four years and is an avid cyclist. John is an optical engineer and principal at Photon Gear in Ontario. He has been involved in Pittsford Crew for almost ten years, since first helping out with the design of the current boathouse. John has been on the Pittsford Crew Board for the past three years, where he has headed the Facilities and Equipment Committee and been an invaluable resource of rowing knowledge. He has been instrumental in regatta planning and also serves as President of the Board of the Pittsford Indoor Rowing Center. He started rowing thirty years ago and still spends a few morning hours each week trying to learn how to make boats go faster. Diane has worked in the fitness field for over twenty years. For the past seven years, she has been doing one-on-one personal training in the Rochester area. Diane is a master rower who has been competing for 11 years, the last six sculling in a women's Master quad. She is the parent of four children, including son Matthew Bromley, who is a Varsity rower. Diane became involved with Pittsford Crew when she volunteered to train the team on erg conditioning and strength training. Diane has been on the board for one year and serves on the Discipline and Program Committees. She also volunteers with the Open Door Mission and the Children's Formation classes at the Church of the Transfiguration. Lou is a dentist practicing in the town of Greece. He and his wife Paula have two children, Michael and Claire. Michael is a senior at Sutherland who is a Varsity rower, and is currently working as a coaching assistant with the Novice Boys’ team. Lou has been involved as a volunteer with Pittsford Crew since 2003, and has been a board member since 2005. He currently serves on the Health and Safety Committee and the Facilities and Equipment Committee. Debbie is the co-owner with her husband Paul of “Tailored Events” tent and party rentals, where she handles all event decorating and bookkeeping. She has been a Board member and club Treasurer with Pittsford Crew since August 2005 and is the parent three daughters: Melissa, and Emily and Jessica, both Varsity rowers. Debbie’s previous volunteer experience includes serving as Board member and Treasurer for four years with the Academy of Talent Education, a violin school. Debbie also enjoys scrapbooking in her spare time. Lorna is a software engineer with General Electric, and enjoys being involved with the activities of her children. She is the parent of three children, two of who have participated in Pittsford Crew, including varsity rowers Hannah and Jack. Lorna is currently in her third year on the Board, where she has served as Board Secretary, Volunteer Coordinator, as a member of the Personnel Committee and handles all email correspondence for Pittsford Crew. Other volunteer commitments include Boy Scout Troop 167, Pittsford PTSA and teaching Sunday School at Mountain Rise United Church of Christ in Perinton. Jill is a non-practicing attorney and community volunteer, who is new to the Board. She is the parent of three children: Lexi, Andrew, a Pittsford Crew alumnus currently rowing in college and Brooke, who is a rower with the Varsity Girls team. As Board Vice President, Jill serves on the Personnel, Program and Fundraising Committees. Currently in her second term as a member of the Pittsford Central School District Board of Education, she has been active with the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County and the Junior League of Rochester, where she is a past President. Her other volunteer commitments have included Allen Creek School PTSA Chair and President of Friends of Sutherland Soccer. Les is a Chiropractor and an owner/partner of Greater Rochester Sports Chiropractic. He is new to the Board in 2007 and is serving on the Program Committee and the Discipline Committee. Les is the parent of Catherine and Richard, a member of the Varsity Boys team and married to Lisa, who is the Team Parent for the Varsity Boys team. He has been very active as a volunteer in the community, including five years as a Coach with AAU Boys and Girls basketball, Board member with the Upstate Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and as Past President of the Genesee Valley Sports Medicine Council. Priscilla is a physician currently employed at the University of Rochester as a Teaching Internist. The parent of Varsity rower Chris Bordley, and daughter Kate, who recently completed the Learn to Row program, Priscilla has been on the Board since 2006. She is presently the Registrar for Pittsford Crew and serves on the Health and Safety Committee. Her other volunteer commitments have included Pittsford Mustangs Soccer, Odyssey of the Mind, Pittsford PTSA and other organizations supporting her children’s activities. Patricia Miller is the parent of two children David, a Pittsford Crew alumnus and Emma, who is a member of the Pittsford Varsity Girls Swim Team. She has been with the Pittsford Crew Board since 2003 where she has served on the Personnel Committee, Nominating Committee and is currently the Chair of the Fundraising Committee. She has more than eight years of experience in fundraising, working with not-for-profits. She is self-employed and an avid rower, sculler and a part-time ski instructor at Bristol Mountain. Other volunteer commitments include Committee for Special Education with the Pittsford School District. Sue is a non-practicing Registered Nurse who joined the Board in 2005. A parent of two, she became interested in the sport of rowing when her son Jeff started with Pittsford Crew. She has rowed competitively as a Master rower, and recently became involved with coaching, serving as a volunteer assistant coach with Pittsford Crew for the past two years. Sue completed her Level I Coaching Certification in 2006. She currently serves on the Health & Safety, Personnel and the Facilities & Equipment Committees. Sue’s past volunteer commitments include chairing Cultural Arts at both the elementary and high school levels, coaching softball and soccer, and teaching Sunday school at Christ Clarion Presbyterian Church. The new Board President, Betsy has been with the Pittsford Crew Board since 2006. She has served as Fundraising Committee Chair and as a member of the Rower’s Revelry Banquet Committee. Parent of Varsity rower Sam, Novice Maddie, and son James, Betsy is married to Chris, Board member and Webmaster for Pittsford Crew. She is a self-employed artist and an avid rower as well, having taken the adult Learn to Row through Fairport Crew, rowing with “Adventure Out!” and in the competitive Masters program through Genesee Waterways. Her previous volunteer experience has been with the Junior League of Rochester. Kathy is new to the Board in 2007 and the parent of Julia, a coxswain on the Varsity Girls team. At present she is completely her Master’s degree at Nazareth College and hopes to teach upon graduation. She has coordinated the T-shirt sales for the Pittsford Regatta, served as Team Parent for the Novice Girls Team and is currently a member of the Fundraising Committee. Kathy has been very active as a community volunteer with the Community Advisory Board of the Pittsford School District, the Pittsford Food Cupboard, Women’s Club of Pittsford and the Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley. Howard is a General Dentist with the North Coast Dental Group in Irondequoit. On the Board since 2002, Howard is the Immediate Past President of Pittsford Crew (2005-2007). Howard’s current activities with Pittsford Crew include serving on the Finance and Facilities and Equipment Committees, and as Regatta Director for the Pittsford and Pull the Plug Regattas. He drives the trailer for away regattas and helps liaison with the town of Pittsford and New York State Canal Corporation to ensure good ongoing relations. Howard and wife Sue, a past board member, have three children, Alex, Eric, who are Pittsford Crew alumni and Allison, a varsity rower. A licensed pilot and avid boater, he also volunteers with the Civil Air Patrol, the civilian auxiliary to the USAir Force.
